About The Painted Sheep
The Painted Sheep was established in 2007 by Kris Gonzales. We offer handpainted yarn and spinning fiber. Our
speciality is one of a kind colorways inspired by nature. Our current fiber offerings include blue faced leicester, superwash merino
and luxury blends. Yarn offerings include sock yarns, lace weight wool and silk yarn and worsted weight wool yarn. We are located
in New Britain, Connecticut.
Kris Gonzales is a fiber artist who knits, spins, dyes, felts and dabbles in many other things. I learned
to knit in the fall of 2000 and fell in love. I started with knitting a sweater and quickly moved on to knitting mittens, socks and
other garments. My love of natural fibers and vibrant colors led me spinning and later, dyeing. I am pleased to bring you my handpainted
yarn and rovings.
Due to a planned upgrade to this site, all of our sales are currently taking place in our Etsy shop.

Events: The Painted Sheep will have a booth at the February 7 Nutmeg Spinners Guild meeting. The meeting
will take place at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, CT from 9 AM to 3 PM. Hope to see you there!
